The methods of marking construction can be roughly divided into manual marking method and mechanical construction method based on the results of the marking machine. Manual marking is currently the main and commonly used construction method for hot-melt marking construction. The marking width of a manual marking machine is determined by the width of the hopper, commonly used as 100mm, 150mm, and 200mm. The hot melt coating needs to be heated to between 180-230 degrees Celsius before construction. The working principle of the manual marking machine is to use a scraping method for construction. During construction, the solid cover like coating is put into the hot melt kettle, melted into a flowing state, and then placed into the insulation material cylinder of the manual marking machine. When marking, molten paint is introduced into the marking bucket, which is directly placed on the road surface. Due to a certain gap between the marking and the ground, when the marking machine is pushed, a neat marking line is scraped out by automatic flow. While scraping out the markings, the marking machine synchronously spreads a layer of reflective glass beads on the surface of the markings evenly.

The construction of hot melt coatings should be prepared in advance, such as warning posts, auxiliary tools, construction warning signs, as well as necessary drawing boards, font shapes, etc. Cleaning the road surface: First, perform basic treatment on the road surface and remove debris from the road surface. If it is difficult to remove debris on the road surface using conventional methods, a steel brush type road surface cleaning machine should be used for hard removal, and then a wind power road cleaner should be used to blow away debris on the road surface to meet the road cleaning standards required by the markings.

Construction setting out: Within the scope of the construction section, measure and set out according to the construction drawings and technical requirements, in order to facilitate the control of construction standards. After completing the setting out, conduct initial inspection. After passing the initial inspection, please ask the supervising engineer for acceptance. Only after passing the acceptance can the next process proceed. Precautions for road marking construction: During construction, use a high-pressure wind cleaner to blow away debris such as soil and sand on the road surface, ensuring that the road surface is free of loose particles, dust, asphalt, oil stains, and other debris that affect the quality of the marking and is dry.
3. Then, according to the engineering design requirements, an automatic pay-off machine and manual operation will be used for pay-off on the proposed construction section. Then, according to the specified requirements, a high-pressure airless primer spraying machine will be used to spray the same type and dosage of undercoating agent (primer) as approved by the supervising engineer. After the undercoating machine is fully dried, the marking will be carried out using a self-propelled or hand-held hot-melt marking machine.
